I designed an app to help children explore number patterns. It is amazing to see something you have researched being made available (for free) to people to download and use. It is still available but we are now making it 100 x better – hopefully to create for the end of this year.

Perhaps more interesting is we will then adapt this app so you can use it through a Ninendo wii. We will put a big screen in a shop window so people can play by gesturing outside. An important part of science is sharing ideas with others. Scientists are always looking for new ways to share work – a bit like this I’m a Scientist thing.

I worked on a TV show with the BBC, first i advised them on ocean acidification for the press release of Great Barrier Reef, then i got to be on TV catching plankton in the UK!

My mum was so proud =)

I got to see all behind the scenes, how documentaries are made and got to meet some awesome people!

The most interesting thing I did (and am doing) is to explain what I do to everyone. I love (really REALLY) to talk with non-scientists and share my joy of understanding the Universe with them.
