Not illness no. But my work is important in helping children who come from disadvantaged (poor) places with their education. By helping children’s education – by making it more interesting and learning new skills – they will have more options when they are older.

I currently work with children in the UK. I would love to start working with children in other countries. Some people are doing some really interesting work using mobile phones to help children who live in remote poor villages to learn. With a mobile they can access all the information you or I can using the computer.

Me neither, my work is about protecting the environment and food security for the future. However my work does have indirect effects on the lives and health of people around the world in regards to whether they have money and food to survive.

Many of those that live on coral reefs are the some of the poorest people in the world. That’s why protecting them protects the economic importance and services they provide.

Did you know coral reefs provide housing material, coastal protection from storms and waves, food, tourism, cultural importance, water quality, they can even provide medical uses. Coral skeletons are so similar to humans it can be used for bone transplants. they have also found treatments for heart disease and cancer in other reef animals.

So directly I’m am not working on these but i have colleagues who are and our work all links in together as a group
