I love science, i love that it can explain how things work and why they do things. for example why is a chilli hot, how do whales stay underwater so long, how is a planet formed, why are boys smelly….. All of these can be answered with science!

If i win iexplain these things to anyone who will listen, ill go to local schools and science fairs, do demonstrations and then have a host of online material available on my website. the money will help me buy cool equipment for the experiments and help budding scientists with a hands on approach!

I love science but as said a few times, it is important to know how science can mean different things to people. When I was younger, science meant learning physics, biology and chemistry. I liked some bit but not others. I love science now because I love what I am researching – how the brain works and how technology changes the brain.

If I won, I would use the money to have a digital making day. This is a day when adults (often teachers) and children (5-16 years) get messy playing and building things using technology – for example using the Lego NXT. If successful, it would be easy to show other places how to have one of these days. Very fun, very good for learning about how to make things.

I LOVE science 🙂 That is how I learn what is happening around me. Every little thing we do is related to science: I am typing on a computer keyboard now, which is made up of atoms and electrons. My message is being sent to you through cables and satellites. So it is all Science !

If I get the money, I will use it to educate more children on Science. I will help schools and museums develop better science activities so that they can attract more students to science.
