• Question: Why do people like to squeeze stress balls when they are stressed?

      Our mind and bodies are very connected. Our thoughts and feelings can drive our actions, but also our actions can help our thoughts and feelings. Squeezing a stress ball allows you to purposefully tense your muscles. Then when you relax your hand, it can prompt your mind to feel more relaxed.

      Wow Andrew you learn something everyday. I think it’s also a distraction to the mind, like when you squeeze someone’s hand when having an injection, the sensation is causing a distraction to the mind so you can take a breather and then problem solve effectively.
