Question: what is so interesting about finding earth like planets

Because those Earth-like planets may have some kind of life on them, may even be intelligent life ! Can you imagine this: There is a planet out there with some intelligent ‘aliens’ and they might be wondering if there is anyone out there. That is why I am interested to find them.
