• Question: What have you discovered so far?

      So far ive discovered that the corals which evolved much earlier and have survived through more historical climate change, are more resistant to predicted future climate change.

      However these corals are the ones who may not be the most valuable on reefs, so those who are the slowest growing and provide the lowest 3D topography which provides hiding holes for fish and other animals.

      What we ant to do is find out why these corals are more resistant and try to force these changes in the more valuable coral species. So one of our hypothesis is that it might be that the skeleton is stronger, so if we find a way to make the skeleton more dense in our vulnerable coral species then we might be able to give them a survival boost.

      Ive finished all my experiments and working up the data now, then once its published it with be scientifically proven and can be used in coral reef management programs.

      That potentially habitable planets are EVERYWHERE ! There could be many planets that may host some kind of life on them. And some of them are very nearby ! I think this is the single most important discovery I made in my work. Exciting, right ?

      I have discovered that the way children move their hands when they talk about numbers tells you a lot about what they understand. And I have discovered that a lot of iPad apps are not great in letting children explore number ideas. Not sure if this is discovering, but I have designed two things to help children learn. One is an iPad app and the other is a way children can link a real object to the computer.
