• Question: Is it possible to re create a human being once they are dead with a sample of there dna?

      Wow, what a good question. I guess you could – cloning. However, it would be like creating a twin. And we know that a person is very much the product of their experiences as well as their biology – so it would be like a different person. But a great ethical debate to be had on this!

      As Andrew said technically yes. In fact do you remember Dolly the sheep. She was created at the University of Edinburgh and was the first ever animal clone. Humans could also technically be made in the same way – taking a fertilised ovuum and replacing the that from another sheep. However Dolly was quite poorly. She rapidly developed diseases associated with sheep older in age and died prematurely.

      Exactly! They have made several successful clones in the animal kingdom but again a person is defined by their experiences and so would in essence be a completely different person
