As a child develops their brain develops lots of connections that forms new memories. It’s amazing how many millions of new connections are made. As we get old, some of these connections start to degrade, and making new ones slightly more difficult. That is why old people sometimes find it difficult to remember things. However, for most old people this is not so bad. There are though more serious problems that affect old people, like Alzheimer’s and Dementia – here there is a lot of problems making new connections and hence difficulty in remembering things.
